-
Have
fun.
-
See
that all others have fun, too. Also, please be considerate of
our field's neighbors. (See the Pilot's
Advisory for additional details regarding our
neighbors.)
-
All
members must hold current A.M.A. membership. Guests
who have A.M.A. membership may fly when a club member is
present. Individuals may fly as a guest up to three
times before being required to join the club.
-
Always
use the frequency control board even if you're the only one
at the field when you arrive. Take the channel card
from the board and clip your membership card in its place.
Remember, if for any reason a member or guest causes damage to a plane
by powering up a transmitter without first securing the
frequency control card, the offender shall be responsible
for damage done. The offender shall make whole any
losses immediately.
-
When
flying at the pond site, first secure the channel card from
the frequency control board at
the main field, and clip one of the "At the Pond"
cards into the channel's card location along with your
membership card. If you have a cell phone, write your
cell phone number on the "At the Pond" card. This will allow
others to contact you to share the frequency. If you
are not comfortable with this, use of the frequency will be
"first come, first served", i.e. whoever has the
channel card controls the frequency.
-
Keep
your planes as quiet as possible.
-
No
more than three planes may be in the air at one time unless
all pilots who are currently flying agree to allow more than
three.
-
Announce
your landings and takeoffs clearly. (Specify your
intention and direction.)
-
Deadstick
situations have priority on landings.
-
If
you bring a dog with you, keep it under control and clean up after it.
-
Take
your own garbage home with you. (This includes,
unfortunately, any crash debris.)
-
Remember
to return the frequency channel card and retrieve your membership
card from the board before you leave.
-
The
last person to leave the field should lock the gates.
Be sure to spin the combination tumblers on the padlocks
after you lock them. (The gate for the lake
should be closed each and every time you enter and leave in
order to
prevent cattle from wandering off while you're
float-flying.)

Important:
See Rule 1.
