Grant Sharp invited local TV reporter Drew Carney of KPTV-Fox 12 in Portland to visit the flying field and see what large scale R/C competition flying is all about, in preparation for this weekend's Pacific Coast Free Style Championships & IMAC Challenge event.  

There was a good early morning turnout of club members, as well as the Molalla High School baseball team, who will be participating in this weekend's event.  Grant served up a nice pancake, eggs, and sausage breakfast to everyone who took showed up.

Drew made a number of live broadcast segments from the field to KPTV's popular "Good Day Oregon" morning show.  His broadcasts included some great video of some highly skilled "Big Bird" flying by Mike McGuyer and Dennis Welty.  Drew also got some buddy box "stick time" on an R/C trainer with Grant as the instructor pilot.
