Labor Day 2004

September 6th, 2004

Photo Album Index

The day was about as good as it gets; Warm, dry, not too many bees, good food, nice people, beautiful airplanes, lots of Piper Cubs, gentle wind, pretty nice day.  My condolences to Del Davis, who had a radio lock up on take off.  Just one of those things; the radio worked fine when we picked up the pieces, but froze up on take off.  His U-can Do was lost.

I was cooking out behind the impound shed.  Next year I'll set up out front.  I cooked  64 hot dogs, and 48 hamburgers.  We drank about a hundred sodas, ate  2 gallons of beans, (thanks to Bob and Gale Walker), a sheet of brownies,  some great berry cobbler, good pasta, lots of chips, cookies, and donuts.

All in all, a very nice time.  Thank you all for coming.  If you missed it, I'm sorry.   Remember, we have a potluck on most holidays.  Check the website to be sure.
