The IMAC Challenge
& Pacific Coast Freestyle Championships event has been held
the past four years during the last week in July. The
tournament has drawn competitors from Arkansas, Utah, Idaho,
Washington, Oregon, and California. This year, we were pleased
to have a repeat winner, Garret Morrison from Lodi California.
Garrett won the championships three years ago at our first contest.
The championship has also been won twice consecutively by Darrin Miller,
one of the Northwest's outstanding pilots.
This tournament is held
as a fund raiser for Molalla High School Girls Soccer and has
raised thousands of dollars to help our local community sports
program. Several thousand local community members attend
the four-day event and enjoy the competitions and daily half time
shows. Big top tents, many vendor sales, great food, and the
best sound system in model aviation, all help to make the IMAC Challenge
& Pacific Coast Freestyle Championships one of the
West's premier events. Look for our pilots in Propwash Videos,
"Ballet of The Sky".
