I am sorry to report that Don Douglas
passed away this morning (Thursday, November 18th, 2004). His illness overcame him slowly but
without relief during these past few months.
You must remember the Buyle aircraft that
he crafted from scratch, the super sticks with the girl doll
heads for pilots, the genuine small to beautiful planes, and the
expert craftsmanship he built with, and the skill with which he flew.
He competed in IMAC with our group for several years and truly was a
competitor. You will remember the slide-out bed he designed and
built for his pickup.
I will remember and miss him, and surely
am thankful to have known him.
Services will be held on Saturday at 2:00
p.m. in Oregon City at the Holman facilities on 7th
street. If you are able, please join with me in saying goodbye
to one of ours.
