The club has acquired an 11-foot aluminum
boat (with oars) for retrieving stranded float planes at the
pond.
For security, the new boat is being
stored in a shed at Grant Sharp's home and will need to be picked up
and returned there after each flying session. The shed is not
locked, and Grant has given us permission to get the boat whenever we
want to use it. Loading and unloading it is a two-man
job. We are also considering acquiring a small utility
trailer for hauling it to and from the pond.
